Togethering is a series about friendship, failure, and the strange effort it takes to keep going when you feel like giving up.

Set in L.A. our story follows Jimmy, a man doing his best to survive the chaos of middle adulthood, and his business partner Jules, who’s recently out of a relationship and absolutely not thriving. As their golf apparel brand starts to succeed, they quickly discover that professional momentum doesn’t translate to personal competence—especially when it comes to relationships, identity and basic decision-making.

A much needed day of relaxation and peace is disrupted when Julian's ex-girlfriend Jen calls to arrange picking up her remaining belongings — including their shared cat, Petey. A well-intentioned attempt by Julian’s neighbor Barry results in a tragic accident that abruptly ends the boys' day.

FULL SYNOPSIS

EPISODE 1: THE BAD MANTRA

Julian meets up Jimmy for a round of golf, hoping for much needed relaxation and emotional escape. Their day unfolds through humorous conversations about friendship, relationships, and ideas of manhood through an introspective series of narrators who philosophizes about human connection, status quo, and the need for companionship.

Julian’s fragile peace is disrupted when his ex-girlfriend Jen calls to arrange picking up her remaining belongings—including their shared cat, Petey. A well-intentioned attempt by Julian’s neighbor Barry results in a tragic accident: Petey is killed. The incident forces Julian to confront his lingering attachment to his past relationship and the absurd unpredictability of life.

Despite the emotional setback, even mundane or difficult moments, give meaning to existence. The episode ends on a reflective note, emphasizing that human connection, or “Togethering,” is essential for navigating personal failure, loss, and the search for purpose.
